 INTERNATIONAL TOUR 2010 SEASON

 About the International Tour

The International Tour is the premier 8 Ball pool event. There are 6 tour weekends, all played at Barcelo Group Hotels.  we use 18 Supreme pool tables which in most cases are new for each event.  Special accommodation rates are available to players & guests, but players do not need to stay at the hotel to compete.

New players on the tour are entitled to play in the main tour event plus the club open.  For the year 2010 the prize monies for each of the 6 tours will be at least £10,900, with a further £4,000 for each club open event. Total prize fund in 2009 will be around £190,000 for all events (Professional, Tour & Internet)

Each game of the tour and open is allocated a specific time, this means that players know when they are playing in each round of the event in advance.

Players are seeded based on their results from the previous two seasons, new players are given a nil seeding.  Each player on the tour receives the draw approximately three weeks before each tour event.

Each tour event starts around 2pm on a Friday and conclude around 3pm on a Sunday
(Tours on bank holiday weekends start on a Saturday and conclude on a Monday)

All IPA events are played to World Rules, prelim and first round matches are all best of 13 frames.

Players must observe the official dress code, and players who are members of the IPA at all levels are not allowed to be members of any other professional eightball pool organisation.
